Effects of competitive strategies on
organizational performance: A case of Nokia – Kenya |

The overall aim
of this study was to examine the effects of competitive
strategies on organizational performance. Specifically, the
study sought; to determine effect of differentiation, cost
leadership, Market Focus and corporate growth strategies on
organization’s performance. Descriptive survey research design
was adopted by this study and the target population was 150 who
were Staff in the Nokia-Kenya company Headquarters. A sample of
109 was picked from the subgroup through a stratified random
sampling technique. Content analysis was employed in analyzing
qualitative data whereas quantitative data was subjected to
analysis by the use of descriptive and inferential statistics.
The study findings revealed that competitive strategies affected
organizational performance of Nokia Kenya Company. The study
established that competitive strategies should be adopted due to
its great influence on organizational performance as revealed by
the study findings.
