This research
aims to reveal the degree of commitment of Saudi banks to the
decisions of the Basel Committee, which holds control of the
financial and banking developments, and also working on the
development of the banking performance in order to maintain the
integrity and safety of the international banking system, and to
prevent the occurrence of banking crisis. This research was done
by reference to the annual report of two national banks and two
foreign banks from banks operating in Saudi Arabia. The results
showed that Saudi banks are committed to the application of
Basel decision regardless the bank nationality.
