The purpose of
this study is to ascertain the immediate effect of the
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on mental health. For data
collection, a survey was distributed on the social media
platform in July 2020. Participants completed a validated
questionnaire to evaluate the effect of COVID-19 on mental
health. The research included a total of 173 individuals, 81 men
and 92 females from eight countries. Out of 173 respondents, 108
are graduates, and their ages were almost between 16 and 25.
According to this study, most of the young groups are
predisposed to mental health issues. Thus, this was surprising
proof that viral illnesses, such as COVID-19 may substantially
impact the mental health of children and adolescents. The effect
of the COVID-19 pandemic was moderately distressing in our poll,
although the pandemic is continuing. These findings would be
utilised to get a better understanding of the COVID-19
outbreak's psychological impact.
