Merit Research Journals of Agricultural Science and Soil
Science (MRJASSS) (ISSN: 2350-2274), a purpose driven journal
organization, was sprung into actions for two reasons: To publish
excellent and unprecedented researches that are in line with the
interest of our journals. Secondly, to create avenue for exploration,
ravaging and manifestation of the world of knowledge, and to disseminate
the articles freely for teaching and reference purposes, especially for
researchers and teachers in developing nations.
The establishment of this Journal, Merit Research
Journals of Agricultural Science and Soil Science (MRJASSS) is an answer to the wishes and desires of many researchers and
teachers in developing nations especially in Africa and Asia who lack
free access to quality materials online. This Journal opts to bring
panacea to this problem, and to encourage research development.
Merit Research Journals of Agricultural Science and Soil
Science (MRJASSS) aims at establishing a publishing
house that is open to all. It aims to disseminate knowledge; provide a
learned reference in the field; and establish channels of communication
between academic and research experts, policy makers and executives in
industry, commerce and investment institutions.
Plagiarism Policy
plagiarism is a serious violation. Plagiarism is the copying of
someone's ideas, text, data and other creative work (e.g. tables,
figures and graphs) and presenting it as original research without
proper citation. We define plagiarism as a case in which a paper
reproduces another work with at least 25% similarity and without
citation.
If evidence of plagiarism is found before/after acceptance or after
publication of the paper, the author will be offered a chance for
rebuttal. If the arguments are not found to be satisfactory, the
manuscript will be retracted and the author sanctioned from publishing
papers for a period to be determined by the responsible Editor(s).
Screening for plagiarism
We check each submission for plagiarism to prevent such unethical
practices.

It is
the vision of Merit Research Journals of
Agricultural Science and Soil Science (MRJASSS)
to support the Open Access
initiative. All journals by Merit Research Journals of
Agricultural Science and Soil Science (MRJASSS) are published
without restriction to the global community. We strongly believe that
the open access model will spur researches across the world especially
in developing nations as researchers gain unrestricted access to high
quality research articles.
It is
the policy of Merit Research Journals of
Agricultural Science and Soil Science (MRJASSS)
not to request for grants for its
operations as grants sometimes fail forcing the organization to
discontinue its operations. Rather we have chosen the model of self
sustenance through collecting processing fee for articles published.
Authors
are required to make payment only after their articles have been
accepted. Thus, we resulted to collecting the processing fee once an
article has been reviewed and accepted for publication by an editor.
There
are no financial reward for reviewers and editors of the various
journals. These positions are purely voluntary.

Merit
Research Journals of
Agricultural Science and Soil Science (MRJASSS)
is a self supporting organization and does not receive
funding from any institution / government. Hence, the operation of the
journal is solely financed by the processing fees received from authors.
The processing fees are required to meet operations expenses such as
employees’ salaries, internet services, electricity etc. Being an Open
Access Publisher, Merit Research Journals does not receive payment for
subscription as the journals are freely accessible over the internet.
It
costs money to produce a peer-reviewed, edited, and formatted article
that is ready for online publication, and to host it on a server that is
freely accessible without barriers around the clock. We ask that - as a
small part of the cost of doing the research--the author, institution,
or funding agency pays a modest fee to help cover the actual cost of the
essential final step, the publication.
